LONDON, KOMPAS.com – There is still a long tail from Russia’s policy of military attack on Ukraine until now.
The latest information shows that 37 countries have signed an agreement on the proposal to impose sports sanctions on Russia.
“We are also targeting sanctions against Belarus,” British Culture Minister Nadine Dorries said on Wednesday (03/09/2022).

Nadine Dorries and her second in command, UK Sports Minister Nigel Huddleston are the two figures behind the deal.
Meanwhile, besides Great Britain, several countries that participated in the signing of the agreement were France, Germany, Japan, Australia, Canada and the United States of America.
“Russian and Belarusian policies violate international accountability obligations,” the joint statement said.
A total of 37 countries reiterated the obligation to respect human rights, peaceful relations between nations as the foundation of international sport.
In the 37-nation agreement, there is a call for Russia and Belarus not to get permission to host international sporting events.
The agreement also asks Russia and Belarus not to obtain permission to participate in auctions for the hosting of international sports venues.
“We also call on Russia and Belarus not to receive international sports awards,” the statement said.
Additionally, the collective agreement includes a call for individual athletes selected by Russia and Belarus, including the administrative team and the representative team, to be banned from competing in countries other than Russia and Belarus.
The proposed ban also includes the presence of representatives, city names and sports brands from Russia and Belarus.
Recently, the International Football Association (FIFA) implemented the above policy for clubs and national teams of Russia and Belarus.
In the next section, the 37 countries praised the policies of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC).
At the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games, which will take place from March 4 to 13, 2022, the IPC has banned the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes.
“We ask international sports federations to publicize our agreement,” the statement said, adding that the 37 countries paid tribute to the federation, which implemented a ban against Russia and Belarus.
To date, various tennis associations and institutions have launched campaigns for Ukraine.
The campaign is called “Tennis plays for peace“.
The Professional Tennis Association (ATP), Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) and International Tennis Federation (ITF), along with the four Grand Slam organizers, have donated IDR 1.44 billion to the Ukraine.
Humanitarian funds were channeled through the Global Crisis Recovery Fund for Ukraine (GGUCRF).
Donation funds were also channeled through the Ukrainian Tennis Federation (UTF).
In addition to Grand Slam institutions and organizers, the Wimbledon Foundation has also donated to Ukraine.
The Wimbledon Foundation has channeled donations to the British Red Cross (BRC) and the Disaster Emergencies Committee (DEC).
During the BNP Paribas Open tennis tournament in Indian Wells in the United States, the organizers will present the players with ribbons colored with the Ukrainian flag.

Then Ukrainian women’s number one Elina Svitolina and former Ukrainian men’s tennis player Sergiy Stakhovsky returned to their country.
There the two joined the Ukrainian Reserve Army.
The current activity of Elina Svitolina and Sergiy Stakhovsky is to produce videos with messages of hope for the Ukrainian state.
British tennis player Andy Murray also expressed concern for Ukraine.
He promised to donate prize money for the rest of his tennis matches until 2022.
Andy Murray’s funds were intended for Ukrainian children who were victims of the Russian attack.
Andy Murray, furthermore, is listed as a UNICEF Ambassador to the UK.
