Solo: Indonesia successfully achieved 6th place in the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Para Games. The red and white team exceeded the target and won 29 gold, 30 silver and 36 bronze medals.

General President of the Indonesian National Paralympic Committee (NPC), Senny Marbun, as well as the CoM of the Red and White Team, Angela Tanoesoedibjo, expressed their gratitude to President Joko Widodo for the full support provided.

“Let us thank President Joko Widodo who supported the Indonesian contingent to achieve this very proud achievement,” said Cmd Angela.

Angela also expressed her appreciation to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dito Ariotedjo, who provided contribution, encouragement and motivation to all Indonesian NPC athletes. They were able to break boundaries and succeed at the Asian-level disabled sports event.

“Of course, there are also directives and contributions from the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dito, so that we can be enthusiastic. Especially with direct support in competition. “It is clearly an injection of enthusiasm for athletes,” Angela said.

The same was also conveyed by the Chairman of NPC Indonesia, Senny Marbun. He said the government paid great attention to disabled athletes as well as equality and others.

“All the athletes gave their best to surpass the target and manage to rank sixth. “There is only a slight difference of a silver medal with India,” a- he explained.

According to him, this proud achievement cannot be separated from the full support of President Joko Widodo and Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo. The government, he said, is fully committed to the development and achievements of athletes with disabilities.

“The president (Joko Widodo) is going to retire. “This is what we can do and what we get.” The president’s support for the Indonesian NPC never stops,” he said.

“Of course, this goal was not achieved easily. The President ensures equality for all outstanding athletes. “We will always be excited to make Indonesia’s name proud on the international stage,” concluded Senny.
