Whatsapp is testing a new feature for WhatsApp business beta users. The company has started rolling out another new tool for businesses. The new tool allows users to add more information about the author in their outgoing messages.
The feature is currently rolling out for the latest version of WhatsApp Beta AndroidiOS and writing desk customers, according to WABetaInfo. The new feature extends the previously released feature to rename linked devices.
According to the screenshots, every outgoing WhatsApp message carries the device name that was used to send the message. The information is available in the About section for that particular message.
For example, if the message is sent using the device named Windows, the name will appear under About. If the message is sent using the primary device, the admin tag is displayed.
It is important to note that these are the features intended for WhatsApp Business users and are only available in the WhatsApp Business app and are not available in the regular WhatsApp apps.
For those who don’t know, WhatsApp just introduced greater group support. In the future, WhatsApp users will allow users to add up to 512 participants in groups. The feature is available for both Android and iOS versions of the app.
