PV Sindhu gave India the lead in BATC final with victory over WR-17 Supanida Kathetong

India narrowly beat Japan 3-2 to reach the final of the Asian Badminton Team Championship.

Two-time Olympic champion PV Sindhu gave India the lead against Thailand with a victory in the final of the Asian Women's Team Badminton Championship. She beat world number 17 Supanida Kathetong in sets 21-12, 21-12 to give India the lead in the match as they seek their first Asian badminton team championship title.

At the age of 16, Unnati Hooda was sure to become a champion as her father focused on honing her skills.
