BERITASUKOHARJO.com – India made new badminton history by winning 2022 Thomas Cup
India convincingly beat Indonesia with a crushing 3-0 scoreline in the Thomas Cup Final at Impac Arena, Bangkok, Thailand. Sunday May 15, 2022.
India achieved a brilliant feat by winning the Thomas Cup for the first time. At the same time, breaking the dominance of China, Indonesia, Malaysia and Denmark, several countries that won the Thomas Cup.

India’s victory came courtesy of Lakshya Sen’s opening single who beat Anthony Ginting in long sets 8-21, 21-17, 21-16.
In the second part, India won thanks to its duo Satwiksairaj Rankireddy / Chirag Shetty who beat Mohammad Ahsan / Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo also in long sets 19-21, 21-18, 23-21.
India won the Thomas Cup after their second singles Kidambi Srikanth beat Jonatan Christie 21-15, 23-21 in the third game.
