India have a good ODI middle-order player in Sarfaraz Khan, says Sanjay Manjrekar

Sarfaraz was waiting for a long time to be called up to the Indian team and when the opportunity presented itself, he grabbed the opportunity with both hands, scoring half-centuries in both the innings.

Former Indian batsman Sanjay Manjrekar on Sunday claimed that the Indian team has a good ODI middle-order batsman in the form of Mumbai batsman Sarfaraz Khan. Sarfaraz Khan impressed critics and cricket fans by scoring half-centuries in both innings of the IND vs ENG third Test.

Sarfaraz was waiting for a long time to be called up to the Indian team and when the opportunity presented itself, he grabbed it with both hands. The batsman scored 62 runs in the first innings of the third Test. He was dismissed in the first innings due to a poor foul from Ravindra Jadeja.

But when he got another chance in the second innings, he secured his place in the Indian team with a tough 68 but was not out. His batting skills and temperament have been impressive, with former India pacer Sanjay Manjrekar taking to social media to say that India has a fantastic middle-order batsman in ODIs.

I think India have found a very good middle order batsman option for 50 overs, to bat in the middle order, with 5 spinners in the circle, that is Sarfraz Khan.Manjrekar wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
