Frankfurt Turkish Airlines wants 600 new planes. It will be the largest aircraft order ever placed by an airline. The coming days will show how serious Ahmed Bolat, the airline’s CEO, is about this announcement.

The annual conference of world airlines associations Iata started in Istanbul on June 4. Bolat wants to use this stage for the first order. More to follow at the Paris Air Show, which opens June 19 at Le Bourget.

Not only the airline from Istanbul is planning a major increase in its fleet. The pandemic, which brought air traffic around the world, had just ended when Airbus and Boeing started taking big orders.
