Good. The Helios Klinikum Bonn/Rhein-Sieg welcomed future nurses on 2 November. This marks the start of the third training course at the clinic’s training center on the Hardtberg.

On November 2, 2022, a total of 21 nurses between the ages of 17 and 31 started their training at the Helios Klinikum Bonn/Rhein-Sieg. Some of the trainees have come from India, Madagascar, Iran and Iraq for their training at Hardtberg. “We are delighted that the third training was so well received and that we are starting the nursing training again with a motivated and diverse group! The many applications show that training positions are still in demand, as nursing is an attractive and evolving profession with many opportunities for development,” says Rungfa Saligmann, the clinic’s managing director.

Practical training as a specialist nurse

Since January 2020, the general nursing education combines the three existing nursing educations for geriatric care, health and nursing, and pediatric health and nursing. In addition to the theoretical blocks, all trainees also carry out numerous practical assignments, which are intensively supported by the practical instructors. The training to become a specialist nurse is successfully completed after three years by a state examination. “The start of the apprenticeship marks the beginning of an exciting and varied period for you, during which we will provide you with the best possible support so that you are optimally prepared for your work”, says school director Sabine Czerwinka, welcoming new apprentices. .

New training center on the Hardtberg

With the start of the training this year, the Helios Klinikum Bonn/Rhein-Sieg has adapted the structures of the training center. In future, not only the classic nursing school, but also the integration of international nursing staff, the KlinikFIT program and internal and external training and continuing education will be combined here. Anke Mijatovic, who also heads the Academy of Palliative Medicine, will be in charge of the training center. “Our goal is to further strengthen the theme of education in all areas of the clinic and provide a wide range of continuing education in the health sector,” Mijatovic emphasizes.
