Mandhana started his T20 career in 2013 against Bangladesh. In a career spanning over a decade, Mandhana has played 125 WT20I matches, scoring 2998 runs before today's match. He averaged over 27 runs with a strike rate of over 122. The southpaw has scored 22 fifties in his WT20I career but is yet to score a century.
Among Indians, Mandhana is just behind captain Harmanpreet Kaur in terms of runs scored in the WT20I competition. Harmanpreet has scored 3195 runs in 158 matches in his long career.
However, with a few good innings in WT20I in 2024, Mandhana could become the highest-scoring Indian batsman in T20I. Although it is possible that Mandhana's personal achievements will now be secondary and Team India will chase glory in the IND W vs AUS W T20I series.
