With yoga against the trauma of war.
Natalia Egorova (48 years old), the ex-wife of Vitali Klitschko (51 years old), is the ambassador of a very special project: she supports a Peace Yoga Projectwhich offers 500 free yoga teacher training courses to those seeking Ukraine’s protection.
Ukrainians can participate in AYA certified training for 200 hours personally in Mainz or across the country via live stream. The 18-day training is intended to allow future trainers to put their experience at the service of compatriots seeking protection from the horrors of war.
Natalia Yegorova is a certified yoga teacher herself, also completed her training at the “WAY European Academy for Yoga and Holistic Health” and is therefore incredibly happy to be an ambassador to help with this heart project.
She explains the effect of the holistic exercise system, which originated in India: “Yoga can help reduce stress. Yoga creates inner peace and balance. You learn to meditate during yoga, which also allows you to (re) find your inner center.”
She also clarifies: “We all want peace in the world, but the first step is to first create your inner peace, to find a healthy balance, to be satisfied with yourself. Yoga is the way.
She sees the project as an opportunity for her compatriots seeking protection, after all she has repeatedly seen that “Ukrainians really want to make themselves useful, to contribute something meaningful to society, to find new tasks, maybe even be learning a new job”.
If you want to participate, hurry: The training begins on May 21, the second round on June 6.
