NEW DELHI, September 15, 2023 /PRNewswire/ –After R.Praggnanandhaa, NidaAnjumChelat has become one of the leading young representatives of India’s growing presence in global sports. NidaAnjum, the young rider, has catapulted India into the world of long-distance horse racing with her recent win. Nida Anjum, 21, the only Indian to hold 3-star rider status, created history by becoming the first Indian to complete the FEI 120km Endurance Championship for young riders. An achievement that almost matches the extraordinary performance of R.Praggnanandhaa, 18 years, in the world of chess.
NidaAnjum and her magnificent horse, EpsilonnSalou, demonstrated their unrivaled prowess as they faced 70 competitors from 25 countries in the championship race, which included four challenging stages of varying distances and tough terrain. After each stage, veterinarians assessed the horses’ health and 33 of them were eliminated. Nida and her horse completed four stages and finished the race in just 7.29 hours.

Nida’s love of horses began during her childhood in Dubai, where she lived with her parents. He earned his place in the world championships by competing in a series of grueling events, including winning the Abu Dhabi Endurance Championships when he was in grade 10. He was trained by TakhatSinghRao, under the guidance of renowned endurance racer AliAlMuhairi.
Nida holds a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Birmingham, England, and an IB Diploma from RafflesWorldAcademy, Dubai. She is the daughter of DrAnvarAmeenChelat, Managing Director of Regency Group, and MinnathAnvarAmeen. Her sister is DrFida AnjumChelat.
