During French President Emmanuel Macron's forty-hour visit to India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi agreed to expand bilateral ties in the sectors of defense, nuclear energy, space exploration, and use of artificial intelligence in public services such as climate change, health, and agriculture.

French engine manufacturer CFM International also announced an agreement with Indian airline Akasa Air to purchase more than 300 LEAP-1B engines for 150 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
