Farmel Isvil Football Academy defends Singapore Lion Cup title

Singapore: The Farmel Isvil Football Academy U-14 was able to defend its championship during the Lion Cup tournament in Singapore last Thursday.

After winning 1-0 in the semi-final against Tufcity (Singapore), in the final Farmel was able to decisively win against LCS Football Academy White (Singapore) 3-1. This success repeated that of Farmel last year, who also became champion.

Farmel is one of the elite teams in Indonesia that has a good training program. Besides becoming champions, this team also managed to win individual titles such as best player and top scorer.


The best player was Feri Saputra and the title of top scorer was Fardan Ary Setyawan with a score of 13 goals throughout the tournament. Fardan expressed his gratitude to his friends who worked hard from the preliminary round to the final.

“It’s a team effort. The success of becoming the best player and top scorer is due to the hard work of the team. Feri and I agree that the best player and best scorer awards scorer belongs to us together,” Fardan said.

Fardan also expressed his thanks to the coach, the official team and the parents who supported him all this time.

“Of course, this can increase our motivation to continue training harder in the future.”

Team Manager Boby Sutrisna also expressed his thanks to Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore Suryopratomo who took the time to be on the field to witness the final.

“Even though the weather was not good as it was raining constantly and the match was postponed several times, it definitely affected the condition of the children. However, thank God the coaching team was smart in handling the situation, so that we managed to retain the Lion U-14 Cup Champions,” added Bobby Sutrisna.

Singapore’s Singa Cup is an early years football operator held annually at Cage Sport Singapore. Participants in the tournament come from countries including Australia, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, India, Indonesia and host country Singapore.

Indonesia and Australia are the largest participants in this competition. One of Indonesia’s representatives is Farmel Isvil Football Academy U-14.
