Badminton News: Indian men's singles badminton player, Ajay Jayaram has retired from international badminton, ending his professional career of almost two decades.
The 34-year-old former world number 13, who won the Dutch Open twice in addition to finishing second in the Korea Open Super Series in 2015, announced his retirement on social media.
“As all good things come to an end, so does my professional badminton journey of almost two decades. I have decided to retire from competitive badminton and I write this with tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat,” said he declared.

“The Indian School of Business (ISB), which happens to be the top-ranked B-school in India, seems to be an excellent choice for an MBA given the diversity of profiles it attracts.
“Following this goal, I took the GMAT where I managed to score over 700. And as it was, I was lucky enough to get admission into ISB Hyderabad on a scholarship for its flagship PGP course.”
Jayaram was a runner-up at the 2018 Vietnam Open Super 100, in addition to being the best twice at the Dutch Open Grand Prix in 2010 and 2016, as well as at the White Nights International Challenge in 2018 and the Belgian Open International last year .
