Jet Airways: Home Office issues security clearance to Jet Airways

NEW DELHI: The Union’s Home Office has granted security clearance to Jet Airways, which plans to resume commercial flight operations in the next few months, according to an official document.
Jalan Kalrock Consortium is currently the promoter of Jet Airways. The airline in her old avatar was owned by Naresh Goyal and had operated its last flight on April 17, 2019.
Last Thursday, the airline conducted its test flight to and from Hyderabad Airport to obtain the Air Operator’s Certificate.
A letter dated May 6 from the Ministry of Civil Aviation to the airline informed them of the security clearance clearance granted by the Union Ministry of the Interior.
The letter, accessed by PTI, said it was “addressed to refer to your application…to grant a security clearance for a change in company/firm ownership pattern, for a proposed operator permit, based on the security clearance received.” transmit the Ministry of the Interior”.
Last Thursday’s test flight was conducted to prove to the aviation regulator DGCA that the aircraft and its components are operating normally.
After Thursday’s test flight, the airline must conduct test flights, after which the Directorate-General for Civil Aviation (DGCA) will issue the Air Operator’s Certificate.
Inspection flights are similar to commercial flights with DGCA officers and airline officials on board as passengers and cabin crew members.
