For connected TVs, YouTube has announced a feature called “Ad Breaks.” This is a new ad format that won’t distract the audience like TV ads do. However, ads will play if they pause the video they are watching. Therefore, there will be no distractions that could disrupt the viewing experience. The second TV ad format is called “Branded QR Code,” which allows brands to add unique QR codes to ads. This feature will also be applied to YouTube’s premium users.
