Xiaomi is ready to launch the Redmi Pad in the Philippines – ANTARA News Central Kalimantan

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Xiaomi is reportedly gearing up to bring the Redmi Pad to the Southeast Asia region for the first time, in the Philippines, after officially launching it in early October 2022 in India.

The device will retail for 14,999 Philippine pesos or the equivalent of Rp. 3.9 million for the highest version with 6GB and 128GB RAM and ROM configurations.

Launching the GSM Arena on Sunday, the Redmi Pad has quite capable specs, from the physical to the chipset.

The device is equipped with a 10.6-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1200 x 2000 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz.

Then coming into the audio aspect, this device brings four speakers with Dolby Atmos capabilities.

In terms of chipset, internal memory capacity and RAM, it is also very promising.

For the chipset, Xiaomi uses the MediaTek Helio 99 with plenty of RAM offerings consisting of three namely 3GB, 4GB and 6GB and two storage memory options 64GB and 128GB.

The device uses Android 12 and MIUI 13 for its operating system with support for three years of software updates and two Android version updates.

Going into the power specifications, the Xiaomi Redmi Pad consists of an 8000 mAh battery with 18W charging.

Without forgetting the camera, this tablet is equipped with two rear cameras of 8MP and a front camera equipped with “FocusFrame” technology, a technology that allows to follow the movements of the user during video calls.

At launch, the Redmi Pad sold for Rs. 12,999 (Rp. 2.5 million) for the 3GB/64GB version, Rs. 14,999 (Rp. 2.8 million) for the 4/64GB and 16 999 rupees (Rp. 3.2 million) for the 6/128 GB version.

Three colors are presented, namely Graphite Grey, Moonlight Silver and Mint Green.

It is not yet known if the Philippine version of this device will be offered with the same RAM and ROM variants as in India or not.

Although it is confirmed that Xiaomi is preparing to bring the Redmi Pad to the Philippines, detailed information regarding its release date has not been disclosed.
