On the other hand, it was reported this month that some companies like Microsoft, Accenture, Deloitte and others have left the final decision to each team to take a call whether to continue working from home or return to the office. Companies made this decision to give their employees some much-needed flexibility.
Microsoft
Speaking to the Economic Times, Ira Gupta, Microsoft’s chief human resources officer, said, “We believe agreements are most effective when they are made with input from all team members. Team agreements are dynamic because they are based on the unique context of the individuals, the team as a collective, and the organization. Gupta claimed managers are reviewing those agreements to see if changes need to be made.
Accenture
Similarly, Accenture allows its employees to choose their own work location in any of the cities where the company has a presence. “We believe there is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to the future of work, and our approach to how, when and where we work will vary by company, team and the types of work our employees do,” Lakshmi was quoted as saying by Times Now C, Managing Director and Lead, HR, Accenture India.
