The Indonesian Dragon Boat Team made November 2022 a joyful month. The reason is that they succeeded in making Indonesia the master of Asia in the field of water sports.
Indonesia officially becomes the ruler of Asia after winning Asian Dragon Boat Championships 2022 or Asian Dragon Boat Championships 2022. Indonesian athletes even look so dominant among other Asian countries.
The 2022 Asian Dragon Boat Championships will be held in Rayong and Pattaya, Thailand. Indonesia will compete from November 19 to 21, 2022. There are 12 participating countries. Besides Indonesia, the other participating countries are Australia, Cambodia, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, India, Myanmar, Malaysia, Nepal, Singapore and Thailand which have host status.
Indonesia became champions with 11 gold medals and one bronze. All the medals were obtained in the different categories that were tracked.
Between reported that Indonesia was able to win four gold medals in the first day on Saturday (19/11). The four golds came from the 1,000 meter small boat category with 12 mixed, women’s and open rowers, as well as the standard boat category with 22 mixed rowers.
Then on the second day, Sunday (20/11), Indonesia again won four gold medals in the 500 meters category in a small boat with 12 mixed, women and open rowers, and a standard boat with 22 mixed rowers .
On Monday (21/11), the third and final day, Indonesia won three gold medals and one bronze. The gold medal was won in the small boat category of 200 meters with 12 female and mixed rowers, and the standard boat 200 meters with 22 mixed rowers, while the bronze medal was won in the small category 200 meter boats with 12 free rowers.

Indonesia’s success in winning the Asian Dragon Boat Championships 2022 continues Indonesia’s positive trend in dragon boat. Over the past few years, Indonesia has been able to achieve various brilliant achievements.
This is interesting considering that dragon boating or rowing in general are not popular sports for Indonesians.
Indonesia’s achievements are no longer limited to Asia, but to the world. Therefore, it is no surprise that Indonesia is able to win the 2022 Asian Dragon Boat Championships.
In 2019, for example, Indonesia won the World Dragon Boat Championship. At that time, Indonesia won 2 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals, in 7 competition categories.
