An Indian in the City: the cult film of an entire generation
An Indian in town is a French comedy film directed by Hervé Palud, released in 1994. The film tells the story of Stéphane Marchado, a Parisian businessman, who goes to the Amazon to finalize his divorce from Patricia, his wife with whom he has been separated for several years, in order to start a new life with Charlotte, his new partner. However, he learns that he has a son, Mimi-Siku, who is being raised among an Indian tribe in the Amazon rainforest. At Patricia's request (and because she misinterpreted her son's lines), Stéphane takes Mimi-Siku back to Paris to introduce her to urban life. However, the young man's adaptation to Western civilization did not go smoothly. Like when he decided to hunt pigeons to eat, or climb the Eiffel Tower.
With Thierry Lhermitte and Patrick Timsit in the main roles, An Indian in town became a classic French comedy of the 90s.
