Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro launched in India with 50MP Zeiss camera, Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset: Check specifications and more

Vivo has officially introduced the V40 series in India, putting an end to months of speculation. The new lineup includes the Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro, both of which feature a triple camera system with ZEISS optics and are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. Both models offer a 6.78-inch AMOLED display. Here are some of the things that this newly launched smartphone has to offer.

Vivo V40: specifications and features

Vivo V40 comes with a 6.78-inch 3D curved display that supports 2800×1260 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. This phone is powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor.

For photography, the Vivo V40 features triple rear cameras consisting of a 50MP primary camera with ZEISS autofocus and optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50MP ZEISS wide-angle camera, and a 50MP telephoto portrait camera. This phone also comes with a studio-grade aura light to enhance image quality. On the front, there is a 50MP ZEISS group selfie camera. Both the front and rear cameras support 4K video recording.

The device runs on Android 14 with Vivo's Funtouch OS. It is powered by a 5,500mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. The device measures 164.16mm in height, 74.93mm in width, and 7.58mm in thickness, and weighs 190 grams. The device is rated IP68 for water and dust resistance. Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth v5.4, NFC, and USB Type-C. An in-display fingerprint sensor and various other sensors are also included. Vivo V40 is available in Ganges Blue, Lotus Purple, and Titanium Grey colours.

Vivo V40 Professional: Specifications and Features

Vivo V40 Professional is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset, with RAM options up to 12GB and 512GB storage. This phone has a 5,500mAh battery with support for 80W wired fast charging. The phone features a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution, and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The phone runs on Android 14 with Funtouch OS 14.

The Vivo V40 Professional camera system includes a 50MP Sony IMX921 primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP Sony IMX816 telephoto portrait camera. The front camera is a 50MP ZEISS Group selfie camera with autofocus. The device comes in Ganges Blue and Titanium Gray and is also rated IP68 for water and dust resistance.
