Analysisdaily.com, Jakarta – The University of North Sumatra (USU) participated in the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2022 in Jakarta, from November 8 to 11, 2022. The event was held with the aim of expanding partnerships between institutions of teaching and explaining the ranking indicators on Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).
USU Chancellor Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Sc., gave material on Equal Opportunity for All, during the event which was attended by participants from various countries around the world. In his presentation, the Chancellor explained that the transformation of USU was carried out to ensure inclusive education services for all, regardless of background. “Summer courses, sabbaticals and student mobility programs are designed to provide transfer experiences to campuses around the world. Current USU students come not only from local and national but also from various countries around the world. Tri Darma services must be standardized internationally to bring together scholars, practitioners, students and other groups in an inclusive manner,” the USU Chancellor said in his presentation. Muryanto’s presentation at the QS forum also aimed to socialize USU’s transformation to attendees from various countries around the world. As part of this activity, the USU has also signed six letters of intent, notably with Indian and Philippine universities.

The Chancellor said that in this activity new technologies in the field of learning were also discussed. And USU itself is participating in the QS event for the first time by becoming a platinum sponsor. “We hope that events like this can accelerate USU’s ranking at Asian and global levels,” the Chancellor said. For information, USU managed to climb 50 ranks in the QS Asia University Ranking (AUR). In QS AUR 2022, USU’s position is at rank 501, then increased by 50 places to 451 in QS AUR 2023.(BR)
