At least two people have died in a fighter plane crash in India.

New Delhi – A MiG-21 jet crashed into a house in Bahlol village in Rajasthan state early Monday, Indian media such as television station NDTV and the “Hindustan Times” reported. Several other people were injured in the incident, local news agency PTI reported, citing police.

Both pilots survived with minor injuries, the Indian Air Force said on Twitter. Therefore, they carried out routine training flights on Soviet-designed fighters. The cause of the accident was being determined, he said.

Indian media previously called the MiG-21 a “flying coffin” because of its repeated crashes. The aircraft is considered an important part of the Indian air force, but will be replaced by new aircraft in the coming years, according to the military.
