Toyota stops deliveries of Innova Crysta, Fortuner and Hilux in India

Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Corporation has suspended global shipments of 10 diesel-powered vehicles after an investigation found irregularities in performance testing. The carmaker's Indian subsidiary, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, has temporarily suspended deliveries of the Innova Crysta, Fortuner and Hilux.

The investigation found that there were irregularities in the performance testing for the certification of three automobile diesel engine models that Toyota commissioned from Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO).
