Jakarta: Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto are the only Indonesian representatives
who qualified for the final of the Korea Open 2023. Fajar/Rian will face the Indian pair in the final.
Fajar/Rian advanced to the 2023 Korea Open final after beating co-hosts Kang Min Hyuk/Seo Seung Jae. They are on the score of 17-21, 21-16, 21-18.
First final since all of England
This will be the first final for the Fajar/Rian pair after their last appearance in the All England 2023 final and victory. This is also the duo’s second victory over Kang/Seo.
Fajar/Rian was also beaten by Kang/Seo in the last tournament. This victory was an epic revenge for in front of his own supporters.
“First of all, thank God it feels good to be back in the final after the last All England. But it’s not over yet because tomorrow there’s the final again,” Fajar said.

In the final, Fajar/Rian will face the representative of India, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy/Chirag Shetty. They reached the final after defeating the Chinese representative, Liang Wei Keng/Wang Chang.
Fajar/Rian also carries a mission of revenge after being defeated at Indonesia Open 2023 by Rankireddy/Shetty. Therefore, they need extra rest to anticipate close matches.
“Tomorrow we have to take care of all aspects. Condition, stamina and mentality. You also need to rest more considering tomorrow’s opponent will be the Indian pair who are on fire. The last time we lost at the ‘Indonesia Open, I hope we can avenge this loss,’ concluded Fajar.
