Berlin A handpicked group meets in Berlin on Monday afternoon. A dozen heads of well-known German companies met with Chinese Premier Li Qiang for “tea talk”.
Shortly before the start of the seventh German-Chinese government consultation this Tuesday, the CEOs of Allianz, BASF, Mercedes, BMW, Infineon, SAP, Merck, Siemens and VW exchanged views with Li on possible investment and cooperation opportunities. In the end, a “Memorandum of Understanding” was signed between Beijing and Airbus, VW, Mercedes and Volkswagen.
The round is a reflection of Germany’s most powerful Chinese manager. All of the CEOs who attended the “tea talks” with Li had a great influence on Germany’s China policy over the years.
