Jakarta –
Tata Punch EV electric car was once again filmed being tested on roads in India. This will likely be the final test before launch next month.
The Tata Punch EV seen during the test drive is a production version that has been prepared for the last few months. Previously, the initial version of the vehicle was also available in India with more or less the same camouflage stickers.
Obtained from Carwale And Hindu EraThanks to the recognizable details, the appearance of the Tata Punch EV is still the same as the regular version. However, there are several elements that differentiate it, starting from the headlights, grille to the addition of a charging socket at face level.
Apart from that, there is news that the Tata Punch EV will come with blue accents all over the body which further adds to the impression of electrification of the vehicle.
The Tata Punch EV will use the Tata Motors Gen 2 Sigma platform which is claimed to be more comfortable for electric vehicles than the ALFA platform. Although there is no specific information yet, the emission-free car is expected to use a 30 kWh capacity battery with a maximum range of 350 kilometers.
Interestingly, there is a possibility that the company will offer a more affordable version with a lower battery capacity. Meanwhile, there are no leaks regarding the vehicle's power and torque.
The Tata Punch EV is expected to feature all-wheel disc brakes, an infotainment system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen connected to Arcade.ev, a fully digital instrument cluster and more.
Based on information circulating, the Tata Punch EV is priced starting at IDR 220 million and will compete directly with the Citroën eC3. This vehicle will be the cheapest electric car ever sold in India.
