Looking more deeply into the war between Russia and Ukraine, Putin is known to have always campaigned for this attack with the term “special military operation, not “invasion.”
It turned out that the reason Putin used the term was because of Russia’s goals for the attack, one of which was to provide assistance to the people of Donbass, reports TASS.

“On February 24, President Vladimir Putin said in a speech that this special operation was in response to a request for assistance from the leadership of the Republic of Donbass.”
“He also underlined that Russia has no intention of seizing Ukrainian territory, Putin’s only goal being the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine,” Russian spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Sky News .

Besides sending aid, Russia’s special military operations also targeted Ukraine.
