While we’re now less than a week away from its release, adorable Stray is double the fun announcement. Yesterday, we brought you the latest details about the game’s physical edition. Today, it’s the soundtrack that is in the spotlight with an incredible box set announced.
This summer’s cat adventure
An adventure game not usually seen through cat’s eyes, Stray was able to pique our curiosity and then our impatience as its release approached. Starting July 19th, we can finally sneak into this little kitty’s fur to see the world in a whole new way.. Left alone in a decaying cyber city, kitten Stray must advance alone through unwelcome neon-colored alleys where eccentric robots evolve. Not completely alone our mustachioed hero will coexist with a drone named B-12 who will be the interpreter with the mechanical inhabitants of the city. Together they must find solutions to solve the puzzles posed by their environment and try to unravel the mysteries that allow them to return home.
The soundtrack is on vinyl
Stray doesn’t just rely on the ultra-realistic animation of its four-legged protagonist to encourage us to take risks. Based in Montpellier and in love with cats, small studio BlueTwelve Studio seems to recognize the powerful potential of its title and is giving itself the means to get people to talk about it. Just yesterday, we brought you all the details about the physical edition of Stray on PlayStation 5. Today, the team from iam8bit, Annapurna Interactive, Skybound Games, BlueTwelve Studio and Just For Games announce the arrival of vinyl box sets which will allow us to listen to the soundtrack of the game in the best possible condition.
supporting photo, through a good 2LP box, Just For Games will offer us to find the Stray soundtrack soundtrack. If this release is only slated for the first quarter of 2023, it will allow fans of the game to show their taste by getting this little collector’s item.
Presented in a beautiful Gatefold sleeve covered with a sleek matte sleeve with gloss accents, the soundtrack for the upcoming game Stray will be squeezed onto two 180g audiophile-grade black vinyl.
All music is composed by Yann Van Der Cruyssen and presented on an atmospheric album cover by Fernando Correa with aluminum foil. Note that the vinyl packaging also includes a download card for the digital version of the album.
For the game’s soundtrack, composer Yann Van Der Cruyssen captures this central idea – seeing a lonely cyberpunk subway train through a simple cat’s eye – and translates it into a synthesized soundscape, filled with echoing chords and electrifying drum beats, interspersed with unmistakable notes. unexpected and welcome moments of instrumental fantasy.
Stray arrives on July 19, 2022 dematerialized on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam.
