These people are Muslim entrepreneurs who carry out business activities in different fields. Their success landed them on the Forbes list of the richest people in the world.

So who are these Muslim entrepreneurs? Quoting Forbes, Wednesday (6/9/2023), here is a list of the 3 richest Muslim entrepreneurs in the world.

Aliko Dangote

Aliko Dangote is the richest man in Africa. He is the founder of Dangote Cement, Africa’s largest cement producer. Dangote Cement is known to be capable of producing 48.6 million tons of cement per year and operates in 10 countries in Africa.

Apart from cement production, Dangote also produces fertilizers in Nigeria, which will start operations in March 2022.

Aliko Dangote is now the 145th richest person in the world with assets of US$12.1 billion, equivalent to 185.1 trillion rupees (exchange rate 15,303 rupees).

Shahid Khan

Shahid Khan is the second richest American Muslim in the world. He bought Flex-N-Gate, an auto parts supplier, from his old company in 1980. The company currently has 69 plants and more than 26,000 employees.

Apart from this, Khan also owns the Jacksonville Jaguars NFL which he bought in 2012 and Fulham England which he bought in 2013.

He and his son also launched All Elite Wrestling, a professional wrestling entertainment company and WWE competitor. Currently, his wealth is US$12 billion, equivalent to Rp 183.6 trillion (exchange rate Rp 15,303), making him the 149th richest person in the world.

Azim Premji

Azim Premji is the richest Indian Muslim in the world. He is ranked as the 154th richest person in the world. Premji is the founder of Wipro, an IT company and one of the largest software service providers in India. Premji expanded the family’s cooking oil business into a software company when his father died.

Wipro has an innovation center in Silicon Valley that focuses on developing new technologies and collaborating with startups. Currently, Premji’s assets reach US$11.6 billion, equivalent to Rp 177.5 trillion (exchange rate Rp 15,303).

These are the three Muslim entrepreneurs who figure in the ranks the richest man in the world.
