Vietnam national team succeeded in overthrowing the South Asian team, India. The Golden Star feasted on three unanswerable goals.
FIFA Day Tuesday (27/9/2022) match Vietnam vs India. The duel took place at Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City.
The home side immediately opened the scoring after the game had only lasted ten minutes. Van Duc Phan managed to penetrate India’s goal with a half-volley shot inside the penalty area.
Vietnam continued to beat the Indian defense before half time, but no extra goals were created. Score 1-0 for The Golden Star closed the first half.
Vietnam doubled their lead four minutes into the second half. This time, it’s the turn of Nguyen Van Toan who manages to put his name on the scoreboard.
Park Hang-seo’s side added another goal in the 70th minute. Nguyen Van Quyet’s low shot into the penalty area was not blocked by India goalkeeper Gurpreet Sing Sandhu.
The 3-0 score for Vietnam became the final result of the match at Thong Nhat Stadium.
This is Vietnam’s second victory in the game FIFA Day September 2022. The Golden Star previously beat Singapore 4-0.
