JAKARTA – Without realizing it, the 2022 World Junior Wushu Championship which was opened by President Joko Widodo on Monday (5/12/2022) at ICE Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) Tangerang, Banten, was ends on Saturday (10/12/2022). Under the command of Gunawan Tjokro as Executive Director, the event which involved 60 countries and two regions (Hong Kong and Macao) went smoothly and was a success.
Athletes and officials present also felt quite satisfied, there were no major complaints. They also greatly enjoyed the event which, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) hoped, could strengthen brotherhood among nations.
Moreover, the audience that attended was also spoiled with entertainment. They not only watched the athletes compete, both in the sanda and taolu categories, but also received consolation prizes or door prizes after the event ended each day.
The prizes offered by the committee and the Indonesian Wushu Executive Board (PB WI) led by Airlangga Hartarto included cars, motorcycles and cell phones. Thus, the public who attended the event received a bracelet and a lottery number. You cannot remove the bracelet because the lottery number is written on it. There are around 1,000 lottery numbers provided every day.
The draw for the door prize took place in the evening when the game schedule was completed and the medal ceremony was over. Interestingly, overseas contingents also had the option of waiting for door prizes. There were those from India who were lucky enough to win the main prize, there were also supporters and relatives of Indonesian athletes who were lucky.
The joy of the public to attend this edition of the World Junior Wushu Championships could not be dissociated from the numerous animations and the tempting prizes. This event was also able to attract many spectators and even the online motorbike taxi drivers operating in Tanjung Priok, Jakarta even knew that there was a world championship. All of this cannot be separated from the performance of the committee’s media team who received support from members of the press to report on the event.
During the championship, dozens of media also supported the dissemination of information, starting with who the medal-winning athletes were, where they came from and the number of medals in the standings.
“The role of the media is indispensable to the success of the 2022 World Junior Wushu Championship. Thank you to all the electronic, print and online media that reported on the implementation of the VIII World Junior Wushu Championship. Likewise with Indonesian junior national wushu training which has been taking place since October 24,” said Media Director for the 2022 World Junior Wushu Championships, Ilham Permana.
To further enliven the 2022 World Junior Wushu Championships, his party has teamed up with TVRI as a media partner. Not only that, the committee also promotes the activities of athletes to the implementation of events through social media.

And we also post video recordings of athletes and comments from athletes about their success in achieving achievements via social media” , did he declare.
