Ligasports – Volleyball News: The Thai women's volleyball team managed to overtake the Japanese women's volleyball team to advance to the quarterfinals of the U-19 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship, after defeating the Indian volleyball team in three sets 25-23, 25-15, 25-12.
Against the Indian volleyball team, hosts Thailand will have to erase the shadows of the past when they were crushed by the Indian team in three dramatic sets two years ago in Taiwan.
In addition, young Thai athlete Chutchu-on Moksri (17) managed to raise his enthusiasm by collecting 14 important points for Thailand's victory. Moksri managed to quell the move of India's top scorer, Rai Ananya, who managed to collect seven points in the match.
Thailand head coach Chamnan Dokmai admitted that he was relieved by the result, but they still had to be vigilant as their next opponent was the Japanese volleyball team.
“The reason why we were eager to beat our rivals in the first set and did not want to waste any chances in this set was because our players did not have enough warm-up before the match. After the first set, things will get better I told the players to win, no matter the opponent's tactics,” said Chamnan Dokmai.
Dikmai also added that against Japan it will be one of the toughest matches of the tournament. We have already played against Japan, smugglers they are very intelligent and very fast, it is difficult to manage them. But we will try to continue to do our best.
Previously, the Japanese women's volleyball team easily overtook the Vietnamese volleyball team in the round of 16 of the 18th Asian U-19 Women's Volleyball Championship, at the MCC Hall in Nakhon Ratchasima Mall, Thailand, on Wednesday (27/ 8/2016).
Japan managed to defeat Vietnam in just 59 minutes with a score of 25-11, 25-13, 25-11 and kicked Vietnam out of Pool E. Thailand will now meet Japan in the quarterfinals to fight for first place in the group. E.
