Birthday party technology company Vistex in India, attended by hundreds of employees, turned into a tragedy. Two of the bosses fell from the iron box and one of them died. The police are also carrying out in-depth investigations.

As reported, Vistex CEO and founder Sanjay Jhah died in the incident, while Vistex Chairman Vishwanath Raju Datla was seriously injured and remains in critical condition.

Initially as an attraction, Sanjay and Raju came down on stage with an iron box, in front of the employees. Don't forget to light the fireworks. However, there was a problem with the rope supporting the iron box and they both fell from a height of 4.5 meters. The box tilted to one side and it looked like someone had fallen head first.

The audience, made up of employees, was immediately shocked to see this. The number of employees present at the time of the incident was approximately 680 people. Police said building management was being questioned.

“It was an action that we usually see on stage. The 6mm thick iron cable that supported the iron cage came loose. We believe that the level is not good and that the support security is also not there, but we are still waiting for reports from experts,” said Karnakar Reddy of the local police.

So far, no one has been arrested and the investigation is still ongoing. Vistex filed complaints, in particular for the delay of the ambulance. “It took 15 to 20 minutes for the EO to bring an ambulance and transport the injured to the hospital. We also had to deliver Raju Datla ourselves,” Vistex said.

Vistex is based in the United States, but the company's 25th anniversary celebration took place over two days at Ramoji Film City, in Hyderabad, India. “The release of Shah and Raju from the iron cage was planned to kick off the celebrations,” Vistex said.
