Man versus Bee is a comedy series starring Rowan Atkinsonthe actor behind the character Mr Bean iconic. This series tells the “fight” of a cleaning lady with a bee.
Here is the synopsis of Man Vs. Bee.
Trevor (Rowan Atkinson) is a clumsy old man who works as a cleaner. One day he gets a job to take care of a luxurious house.
The job actually seems pretty easy, especially since the owner has provided a manual. In reality, it was difficult for Trevor.
Such sophisticated technology has become a distinct obstacle for Trevor. The obstacle then became a disaster when a bee became a “terror” in the house.
The bee seemed to disrupt Trevor’s life until he had to “fight” the animal. The fight between Trevor and the bees causes severe chaos in the house.
The manual that was supposed to make the job easier was burned by Trevor’s technological stutter and the bee’s distraction.
Trevor was even tried on 14 counts for the disorder. Some of the charges include dangerous driving, arson, destruction of priceless works of art, etc.
All the chaos resulting from the fight between Trevor and a bee is revealed in Man vs. Bee. The series consists of ten episodes, each episode lasting approximately 11 minutes.
The series is directed by David Kerr with a screenplay written by William Davies. Rowan Atkinson also serves as executive producer, along with William Davies and Chris Clark.
The main character, Rowan Atkinson, is known for his iconic role as Mr. Bean in the Mr. Bean series (1990-1995), the movie Bean (1997) and Mr. Bean’s Vacation.
Previously, Atkinson’s name was popular as a comedian when he starred in a comedy skit titled Not the Nine O’Clock News.
Rowan Atkinson also briefly entered the realm of action movies when he became the lead character in the Johnny English trilogy. The trilogy consists of Johnny English (2003), Johnny English Reborn (2011) and Johnny English Strikes Again (2018).
Additionally, Man Vs. Bee also stars Jing Lusi, Claudie Barkley, Tom Basden, Julian Rhind-Tutt, Greg McHugh, India Fowler.
Man vs. Bee premieres June 24 on the Netflix service.
