KL University in India, renowned for its digital skills, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Congo-Cameroon Interstate University. The tripartite agreement, signed on 8 August 2023, aims to provide the states of Congo and Cameroon with engineers specializing in digital while establishing concrete digital universities.
The two sides also pledged to set up an incubation center and technology support as well as an innovative industrial enterprise. The collaboration also involves the Jagora University Institute. Minister of State for Higher Education, Pr Jacques Fame Ndongo, revealed that this initiative aims to establish a center of technological excellence in Central Africa.
Cameroon-Congo Interstate University is the result of a collaboration between Cameroon and Congo. The university has two campuses, one in each country, and offers programs in digital and forestry. The Cameroon campus, located in Sangmélima, offers training in digital engineering, agriculture, and information and communication technology. The Congo campus in Ouesso focuses on agroforestry, science and applied technology.
