Monaco Ambassador to India Gemerdinger Didier was also present to cheer on Team India.

Speaking to Indo-Asian News, the Monaco ambassador said that Indian youth come here because they are involved in developing new technologies.

“They are very competitive. Last year, their results were better than the previous year. So we wish them the best and hope they give their best,” Didier told the Indo-Asian news agency.

Sumit Anand, Founder of Insight Growth Partners, a leading strategy consulting firm that advises select global and Indian clients on corporate strategy and strategic partnerships, also shares his thoughts with us.

“This is a very important event and it is amazing to see the energy of our young Indian students participating in this very innovative competition. Monaco is famous for its Formula 1 racing, fast cars and exceptional lifestyle,” said Sumit.

“But it is also a center of innovation in energy saving and environmental preservation, because the head of state, Prince Albert II, really emphasizes this. Students from all over the world come to MEBC, not only to go fast on boats, but also to really innovate with new technologies and show how you can do boating and yachting,” Sumit added.

Previously, on the third day of the Monaco Energy Boat Competition, the majority of teams in the Energy and Solar Energy categories carried out their first sea trials at the Yacht Club De Monaco Marina.

In the afternoon, it was the turn of more than 15 units of the Open Sea class to participate in the second YCM Boat Rally, which aims to bring together as many electric boats as possible to show their potential. Among the competing units is the El-ISEO designed by the engineers of the Ferretti Group.

“We are delighted to be here for the second year in a row to participate in the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge,” said Enrico Sgarbi, Ferretti Group’s Communications Director. “El-Iseo is a fully electric Riva cruise ship that opens up a new sector in the world of cruise ships.”

Around ten boats designed by Vita and Evoy also sailed in the Bay of Monaco, including six boats that will take part in the Paris 2024 sailing event, and were selected by the Olympic organizing committee.

The 11th edition of the Monaco Powered Sailing Boat Race (MEBC) has been launched, with the participation of 450 engineering students from 40 universities in 25 countries.
