“The injury he suffered in 2017 was the toughest of his career. He thought he would never play again. The Indian men's hockey team beat Germany to win the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, with PR Sreejesh playing a crucial role, bringing a lot of joy to the nation and his family in particular.
Speaking about the joy she felt at home, Anishia said, “It was an incredible moment full of happiness, pride and relief. I don’t really know what that feeling was, but it was definitely a very special moment on a special level, it was the most precious and important moment of my life. Age plays a big part in any elite sport, but 36-year-old Sreejesh is always energetic, bringing his energy to the field and lifting everyone’s spirits.
“He always said that the life of a goalkeeper is like wine. Over time, he has become more efficient and his quality has improved. He tries to improve every day,” he said. (ANI)
