New Delhi [india]August 27 (ANI): A 43-member Indian delegation will participate in the IAAF World Under-20 Athletics Championships to be held in Peru from August 28 to 31.
In the men's event, there will be 23 athletes and in the women's event, there will be 20 athletes. India will also participate in the 4x400m mixed relay, according to Olympics.com.

Dipanshu Sharma, the current Asian U-20 men's javelin throw champion, will be a key player for India. India won a total of seven medals at the Asian Championships held in Dubai this year in April.
Anurag Singh Kalir (shot put), Ranveer Singh (3000m long jump), Harshit Kumar (hammer throw), Bhavana Nagaraj (long jump), Ekta D (3000m long jump) and the women's 4x400m relay team also won gold medals at the Asian Championships and will now also compete in Peru.

Papi Hansda will compete in the 4x400m relay and 400m sprint after recovering from dengue fever which caused him to miss the Asian U-20 Championships in April.
