Wednesday 27 September, at the opening and first day of the exhibition at the associative cafe Au Timbré, in Saussignac, Béatrice Feytout presented “Some Images of India”, a series of photographs visible to the public who came in large numbers. to admire with great interest.
The Gardonne resident, originally from Cahors (Lot), has been interested in photography for many years, especially liking portraits and scenes of everyday life. He found his inspiration during his travels which for him were vectors of strong and contrasting emotions.
“I experienced the greatest emotions during my travels in Africa, Asia and Latin America with my loyal travel companion and husband. I wanted to capture this unforgettable moment and carry it with me in my suitcase,” explains Béatrice Feytout.
The pictures, very bright and colorful despite the deprivation of the environment and the mediocrity of the inhabitants encountered, feature anonymous characters, encountered at random, on the street, on the highway, in the village or on their farm.
“Interesting country”
But what matters most is the India he chose to show and share with the public. “My son, who participated in a humanitarian mission in this country, made me curious. I discovered an amazing country with diverse landscapes and a generous and communicative people that I wanted to immortalize,” concludes Béatrice, a “down-to-earth” photographer who loves to share her emotions.
