Murianews, Kudus – SOIna (Special Olympics Indonesia) team is aiming for 9 gold medals in the SOWSG (Special Olympics World Summer) arena in Berlin 2023, Germany. The nine gold medals were sought in the seven sports tracked.
No less than 25 athletes from Special Olympics Indonesia (SOIna) will participate in the SOWSG to be held this year in Berlin, Germany. The SOina team will compete in badminton, table tennis, swimming, athletics, rhythmic gymnastics, artistic gymnastics and bowling.
SOWSG is a world-class sports competition for mentally retarded athletes. This year it will be held from June 17, 2023 to June 25, 2023.
PP Solna general chairman Warsito Ellwein said his party was optimistic to win nine gold medals. It is based on the sport of badminton.
“We are optimistic. In our sport of badminton it’s fine. But that doesn’t rule out other sports,” he said on Tuesday (5/30/2023).
Then, for rhythmic gymnastics, according to him, many countries have the potential to become stumbling blocks. He felt that Eastern European countries had the potential to put pressure on rhythmic gymnastics.

“Rhythmic gymnastics is a tough opponent from Eastern Europe. For badminton, the opponents are tough from China, India and Malaysia,” he continued.
Also, for athletics, big opponents come from Nigeria. However, he is optimistic about his ability to win nine gold medals.
“Overall, we remain optimistic to win nine gold medals. We will do our best,” he added.
