Snoozing notifications on an Android device: here's how to enable this feature |

Notification snooze feature which often goes unnoticed could be a hidden gem for many Android devices users. It offers the convenience of temporarily rejecting notice until you are ready to check them out.
The functionality to snooze notifications Android Smartphones were reintroduced to Android O. Initially requiring a swipe gesture on a notification to access it, this allowed users to temporarily hide alerts using a clock icon. However, it was found that not all users wanted this feature enabled by default. As a result, it was moved deep into the notification settingsoften forgotten.
Although it is disabled by default, snoozing notifications could be a handy tool, allowing users to declutter their notification space while ensuring important alerts resurface later.
Here's how to enable snooze notifications on your Android device:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Notifications.
  3. Scroll down and enable the “Allow notifications to snooze” button.

Once the feature is enabled, here's how to snooze a notification:

  1. Expand the notification by tapping the down arrow.
  2. Tap on the snooze icon available at the top right corner.
  3. Choose a time when the notification will reappear by tapping the duration.

It is important to note that this feature is found in the Advanced Settings section of the notifications section on Samsung devices running One UI.

The Predictive Back feature gives users of Android 14 devices a preview of the home screen when they swipe from the edges of an app, preventing accidental exits. Although expected in Android 14, you can find it under Developer Options > Predictive Back Animations: Enable system animations for Predictive Back Animations. Google has not yet enabled Predictive Back system-wide in Android 14, but the in-app version is already active in some, like Gmail, which recently implemented it.
