Smartphone users in Indonesia, most number 4 in the world

Bisnis.comJAKARTA – Indonesia is the fourth country to use smartphones (smart phones) in the world, after China, India and the United States.

According to Newzoo data, cited by dataindonesia.idWednesday (1/18/2022), China is a country with smartphone users (smart phones) in the world in 2022. This can be seen in the number of users smart phones in China which reached 910.14 million people.

India follows in second place with a total of 647.53 million smartphone users. Its position is followed by the United States with 249.29 million smartphone users.

Indonesia ranks fourth on this list. There were 192.15 million smartphone users in the country last year.

A total of 138.85 million smartphone users come from Brazil. Then there are 105.9 million smartphone users in Russia. There are 97.23 million smartphone users in Japan. Meanwhile, Mexico ranks eighth with a total of 80.63 million smartphone users.

In line with smartphone usage, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) notes that the number of internet users worldwide will reach 5.3 billion people in 2022. This figure indicates that 66% of the world’s population used the internet.

The number of Internet users worldwide increased by 8.16% compared to the previous year. In 2021, the ITU records the number of internet users at 4.9 billion people.

Seeing the trend, internet users in the world tend to always increase every year. The highest growth in Internet users reached 13.51% in 2019.
