The denial of the re-appointment came amid attempts by the Promoter Group to prevent YES Bank, the largest shareholder, from voting at the EGM. Bombay HC on Thursday dismissed World Crest Advisors LLP’s appeal against YES Bank’s voting rights.
According to voting results announced Friday night, 78.9 percent of shareholders voted against reappointing Goel, 26.10 percent against Dua and 73.25 percent against Venkateish. Dish TV needed 75 percent of the shareholder votes to pass the three resolutions.
