Taste Atlas unveils the top 50 dishes from around the world. While the list includes delicacies from around the world, there isn’t much to say about Indian cuisine. This ranking is based entirely on public votes. The list is completed by a Japanese dish called Kare. Shahi Paneer India is also on the list and is ranked 28th. The dish gets 4.66 points.
Many seem to be moved by him. Taking to Twitter, many expressed concern as to why Shahi Paneer was included in the list, but nothing else. “I can totally put myself behind Indian food at no. 5 on the best kitchen in the world. But surely we have better dishes than shahi paneer at no. 28?!” wrote one Twitter user. Another person wrote: “Yeh kya hain I guess the person who voted for Shahi Paneer as the winning dish never had chicken biryani, chicken tikka, chicken tandoori etc that’s for sure!!!!!”

Meanwhile, India is ranked fifth in the list of the world’s best cuisines for 2022. Italy takes the first position, followed by Greece and Spain. The top 10 includes France, Turkey, Peru, Japan, Mexico and the United States. India received 4.54 points and the country’s top-rated food included “gara masala, malai, ghee, garlic butter naan, keema”. There are a total of 460 items in the list. According to the list, the best restaurants to try Indian cuisine are Shree Thaker Bhojanalay (Mumbai), Karavalli (Bengaluru), Bukhara (New Delhi), Dum Pukht (New Delhi), Comorin (Gurugram) and 450 others.
Taste Atlas’s tweet garnered a ton of reactions. “Hello, I think there is an error. The UK is on this list for several reasons,” wrote one Twitter user.
