After receiving the award, actor Jawan began his speech by thanking him for the warm welcome he received, even comparing Locarno to India. “Thank you all for welcoming me with such wide arms – wider than the ones I do on screen. Locarno is a very beautiful city, very cultural, very artistic and very warm. There were so many people packed into a small square and it was very hot. I feel like I am at home in India,” he said.
On Monday, the 58-year-old announced at a masterclass that his production company, Red Chillies Entertainment, had acquired the rights to Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas. “As a production company, we bought the rights to this film and I'm very, very proud that this film now belongs to our company,” he said ahead of a special screening of the film.
