Rishi Raj Gupta, head of HR for social media giant Meta India's Asia Pacific region, has resigned from his post to pursue other options. Gupta led the HR business partnership for all of Meta's businesses in India.
He has been an important part of the Indian leadership team since joining in 2017.

A Meta spokesperson said in the message: “Rishi has decided to step down from his role as Head of Human Resources for India/APAC at Meta to embark on a new phase of his career. Over the last seven years, Rishi has been a key member of the India leadership team and has played a critical role in shaping the company's growth and development across the region.”
The total number of employees of Meta in India could not be ascertained, but media reports suggest that 500 to 600 employees work for Meta in India. According to the company's response, Gupta has developed and supported many features for Meta in the Asia Pacific region over his years.
“During his tenure as HR Head, Rishi made significant contributions in supporting the India business by building the leadership and talent pool across Meta's family of apps and features to effectively serve all our stakeholders. We are grateful for his service and wish him all the best for the future,” a Meta spokesperson said in an email response.
Before Meta, Gupta was head of human resources at pharmaceutical company Cipla.
