Redmi Note 12 left no chance for Realme! Over 300,000 sales in India

Just a few days have passed since the launch of the Redmi Note 12 series in India and the device is arguably a success. The range went on sale on January 11th and already is cross sales figure of 300,000. In less than a week, Xiaomi sold a record INR 3 billion.

Apparently, interest in the Redmi Note 12 series grew long before the phones were launched in India. According to the CMO of Xiaomi India, the online retailer has accumulated over 8 million searches for the Redmi Note 12 model. This is not a big surprise, after all, the Redmi Note series is one of the most sold out of Xiaomi in India and globally. Every new generation is eagerly awaited and the latest range is no exception.

Unfortunately, the brand does not provide sales numbers in granular form. Xiaomi currently sells the Redmi Note 12, 12 Pro and 12 Pro+. With the numbers given, we don’t know exactly which phones are selling the best.

Main Features of the Redmi Note 12 Series

The Redmi Note 12 5G is a basic offering with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC. This SoC is less attractive than the other two, but the phone still has an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and capable cameras. The Pro packs a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 and has a 50MP main camera. It also packs a gorgeous AMOLED display with a 6.67-inch diagonal and a 120Hz refresh rate. The 12 Pro+, is the most attractive of the gang. It shares similarities with the regular Pro but carries a 200 MP ISOCELL HPX main camera. The Pro handset is also the first Redmi Note phone in India to feature OIS. Both have massive 5,000mAh batteries, but the Pro+ features up to 120W fast charging.

Redmi Note 12 series

In China, there are two other variants of the Redmi Note 12: Explorer Edition and Pro Speed Edition. The former didn’t release in India, but may emerge sooner or later, despite having to undergo the rebranding treatment. This is exactly the case with the Speed Edition, which will launch in India in a few days as the POCO X5 Pro 5G.

The Redmi Note 12 series will take over the Realme 10 series in India. If we compare the two ranges, the Xiaomi range is the one that has brought the most improvements.
