PVR Limited has announced the launch of its new 5 screen multiplex at Capital Mall in Nalasopara, MMR, Maharashtra, marking its first entry into the city. The new property bills itself as the newest entertainment hub for moviegoers in the lakeside city of Capital City, a completely self-contained modernist city. The cinema is located in Nalasopara in the Palghar district near Mumbai’s western suburbs, part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Area (MMR) which has become one of the most densely populated urban areas in the state.
With this launch, PVR consolidates its presence in Maharashtra with 281 screens across 59 properties across 16 cities and a total of 1663 screens across 357 properties across 114 cities (India and Sri Lanka). The multiplex has a total capacity of 10 seats and is equipped with soft reclining chairs for added comfort. The cinema is equipped with best-in-class theater solutions to deliver an immersive and enhanced cinematic experience.
It includes the SP4K Laser Projector which provides very high resolution, sharp and bright images. Additionally, Audis feature advanced Dolby 7.1 audio technology and Next Generation 3D technology for an immersive experience. The foyer, with its chandelier, adds to the glitz and majesty of the foyer as a whole, while teal chairs and plasma frames add freshness to the space. Custom double-framed artwork with a “V” theme celebrates legendary actors and actresses while gold accents with metal/film inlay are used as accents on the Audi doors.
