Publishing a book on the achievements of Muslim women in India

Tehran (IQNA)-“Rise of Karnataka” is the title of a book published with the support of Margaret Alva, former governor of Rajasthan India, about the lives and achievements of Muslim women in Karnataka.

The book “Rise of Karnataka” about the lives and achievements of one hundred Muslim women in the state of Karnataka, in 14 sectors of politics, arts, human rights and social activities, was published with the support of Margaret Alva, former Governor of Rajasthan, India.

Collection of this e-book begins in 2021, and after 18 months, it’s ready on November 1, 2022.

Farah Uthmani, a women’s rights activist from Karnataka, said: “This book wants to show the participation of Muslim women in nation-building and demonstrate the diversity of the Muslim female population in the country. Modeled on the BBC and Forbes magazines, the series plans to publish a list of 100 women in 14 states across the country, every two years, to show how Muslim women shatter stereotypes.”

The state of Karnataka is a state in southern India where about 13% of the population (61 million) are Muslim.
